Summer Flower Wreath Tutorial
It is getting hot outside and I am so excited for summer. I really needed a fun wreath for my door but they were so expensive to buy so I decided to just make one. These Bright and Beautiful pink flowers did just the trick. Tulips are up everywhere here and I was inspired by all of their wonderful colors. It is a breathtaking sight!
Materials for Flower Wreath:
1 wreath- a twiggy willowflorists wirehot glue gunflowers ( I used 14 stems and I found my flowers at Hobby Lobby. Be creative and use the flowers you would love!)wire cuttersribbon to hang wreath (optional)
Procedure to make Wreath:
Cut flower branches into individual long stems. Save all small bunches for detail on wreath. I used two different flowers.
Beginning in the back third of the wreath glue a stem on an angle that corresponds with the way the willow twigs are going. Liberally glue the bottom of the stem and push it deep into the wreath to secure it. Then secure with florist wire. I used one style flower for the back layer and then used my other flowers for the top layer.
Using the same technique, glue another layer of flowers towards the front of the wreath.
Once the flowers have been glued to wreath, make sure they look even and balanced. Fill in any gaps with small bunches.
When you are happy with the overall look, shake the wreath to find any loose stems and re-glue. Pull off any glue webs.
Tie with a satin ribbon. Hang.

Felt Pom Pom Flower Tutorial
These flowers are so cute and not to mention easy to make. They are my new favorite flower.Supplies:
FeltScissorsGlueStep 1:
Cut a strip of felt about 2 inches wide. The longer your strip is in length, the larger your flower will be.Step 2:
Fold your strip in half and glue the edges together. Make sure ONLY to put your glue right at the edges, not in the center of your fold.
Step 3:
Cut little notches along the length of the felt, only going about halfway through to the other end. You’ll be cutting on the fold… WHERE YOU DIDN’T PUT ANY GLUE!Step 4:
Start at one end of the strip and start rolling it up, like you would if you were rolling a sleeping bag. Dab a few dots of glue along the way to hold things in place.
This is the back of your flower. It doesn’t look perfect or pretty, but no one’s going to see it. Make sure you secure the outside edge with a generous amount of glue so it doesn’t unroll on you.All done!
Use these little babies as gift toppers, brooches, shoe clips, hair clips, on wreaths, string them up as a garland… whatever you do, it’s going to be adorable. I love making these and you will too!
Gathered Fabric Flower Tutorial
These flowers are so fun to make. You do not need any sewing skills to perfect them. I made these out of extra scraps I had lying around. Happy flower making.
Step1:Cut out a circle from your fabric. It does not matter on the size. My circle was about 5 inches in diameter and made a 2inch in diameter flower. The bigger the circle the bigger the flower.
Step 2:Thread a needle with thread (doubled) and tie a knot in the end. Fold over your fabric about 1/2 inch and with the needle and thread sew in and out of the fabric.
You will continue this all the way around the circle.
This is what it will look like when you are done.
Step 3:Carefully start pulling on the thread. (If you break your thread you will have to start over). Keep pulling until all the fabric is gathered and it looks like you have a little coin pouch.
Step 4:Sew through the top of the "coin pouch" to sew the opening shut. Tie it off a few times with a knot.
This is what it should look like when you are done.
Step 5:Glue on your middle piece. I used a button but I have also used fun brads. Use your imagination.
And then you are finished!
Use them on hair clips, headbands, necklaces, shoe clips and more!

Things you will need: Tights, Scissors, Glue Gun and RibbonCut your tights and only keep the middle part of the tights (you will only need one leg unless you're making two)
Fold the two ends together and sew. (I used Orange thread so that you could see it.)
Wrap your ribbon tightly around your stitch. Then glue or sew in place
Add another dot of glue...
...and place your flower or bow on.
Rolled Fabric Flower Tutorial
How To: Rolled Fabric Flowers
So I am loving all the rolled fabric flowers I've seen around. I made these with some girls at my church's youth group and thought I would pass them along!
Start with about a 1" ripped strip of fabric (you can use any width...but I thought 1 inch was just about right). The length and weight of your fabric will dictate the end diameter of your flower.
Fold the strip in half and glue with a low heat glue gun. Some people use fabric glue but I think it makes a lot more mess and can get on the front of the flower.
Leave a 1 1/2 inch opening at one end.
Roll the glued end a few times to get a nice tight center.
Then, once you have a center you like, start twist/folding your fabric away from the center as you roll.
It will start to look like this. Periodically secure the layers with your glueas you go.
Once you are done rolling you will take the 1 1/2 inch tail that was left unglued and fold it up over the bottom of the flower to secure all thefabric into place.
Spread glue all over the bottom side of the flower.
Then fold tail down to cover glue. Press flat with your fingers.
Then trim off any excess fabric.
Use felt to secure them alone or in groups to make headbands, pins, necklaces, clips or what ever your imagination will think up.

Rolled Felt Flower Tutorial
I love these flowers because they are easy enough for my daughter to do. Even if you think you are not crafty, you can do these flowers.
Supplies
Felt
Scissors
Glue (craft or hot glue but I prefer hot glue)
Cut out smallish circles. It doesn't really matter. Mine is about 4 inches in diameter
Start cutting the felt in a spiral pattern. It does not have to be perfect. Different thicknesses give dimension to the flower.
After you cut out the spiral circle pattern, take the inside end of your felt circle (it’ll make sense once you’re there) and start rolling it up toward the center.
Once you’re finished rolling the felt, dab a little glue to the remaining end and secure it to the bottom of the rosette.
Once you are done gluing, you can use them as is or you can add a little bling to the middle. On mine I used a brad that I thought was super cute. I have also used buttons and jewels. Be creative and experiment!
Using my hot glue gun I put glue in the center of my rosette and put the tabs of the brad down the center of the flower.
The end product!! These rosettes are very versatile and can be used on an alligator clip or a headband. They can also add some fun on top of gifts paired with ribbon. The possibilities are endless.....
